Celcom will also introduce a new all-in-one-deal in which customers will receive a HP Notebook/Netbook plus the Celcom Broadband Monthly Data plan and Celcom-Vodafone USB Stick. Kuala Lumpur, 19 March 2009 – Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad today strengthens its position as Malaysia’s No. 1 mobile broadband provider by introducing Celcom Broadband Prepaid™, the country’s first data only prepaid mobile broadband service. Celcom Broadband Prepaid™ is a ready-to-use mobile broadband package that can be used off-the-shelf without the need for customer registration.

The launch of this one-of-a-kind prepaid broadband service further establishes Celcom’s stand as the No. 1 mobile broadband provider in Malaysia. Celcom currently offers the widest broadband coverage in the country, covering 71% of the populated areas in Malaysia, as well as boasting the largest mobile broadband community, exceeding 270,000 subscribers as of end February 2009.
