1.Types of wireless broadband service available?

Under Celcom Broadband there are 2 types of wireless Broadband services available which are:

a)HSDPA – Celcom’s High Speed Packet Access technology or better known as 3.5G or 3GX, provides the fastest mobile broadband speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps for business and personal use from anywhere at anytime.

b)3G – with Celcom 3G, customers can look forward to enjoying a variety of different applications, ranging from streaming TV and video-on-demand, innovative 3D Java games, up-to-the-minute stock quotes, sports and travel or the latest live news updates, via any 3G mobile phone or modem.

2.The different packages available - speed and other features?

The very latest offering that Celcom has to offer is in collaboration with TM, where they introduced the Home, Hop & Away package (HHA). The HHA is a broadband package where the Celcom Broadband service and Streamyx fixed broadband service are bundled together, making it the first fixed and wireless broadband package available in Malaysia with the monthly subscription fee of only RM108 per month. 4.These services available nationwide?

Yes. Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad is now the country’s most experienced and premier mobile cellular telecommunications company with 7.2 million customers. It currently has the widest network coverage covering 97% of the populated areas in the country. We were the first to launch the 3G service in Malaysia and have the widest 2G, 3G and 3.5G coverage in the country.

5.Where can consumers go to sign up? Will Celcom be at PC Fair? Any promotion during the Fair for wireless broadband?

Yes, Celcom will be participating in the PC Fair and our ustomers can go to any Celcom Branch, Blue Cube Outlet, Celcom Dealer or IT Reseller. For the list you can visit us at

6.Is there a Fair usage policy? What is it about?

Yes there is a Fair Usage Policy which we mention that Celcom reserves the right to throttle customer’s speeds if they consistently exceed 5GB per month. However there will be NO denial of service. In the near future we will give the customer option to pay slightly more for more allocation (example. RM10 for additional 5GB – to be
determined).
